Michael Davis from Durango, IA won Event 43, $1,000 Seniors World Championship No-Limit Hold'em, at the 2009 World Series of Poker and took home $437,358.
This was the largest seniors' event in poker history. The turnout shattered last year's record of 2,218 (then, a record high). The 2009 figure represents a 22 percent increase over 2008.
To be eligible for entry into the Seniors No-Limit Hold'em world championship, the entrant must be age 50 or older.
